No install, no account, no upload

Clip Editor

Trim, split, reorder and join your own videos and images, change the speed or the volume of each piece and export one video or a ZIP. It runs in your browser: no install, no account, nothing uploaded.

Trim and split

Drag the handles on a strip of frames, or set the start and end at the playhead. Split a piece in two at the exact point and keep both halves.

Timeline you can reorder

Every video and image is a piece on the timeline. Drag them into any order, duplicate one or remove it, and play the whole edit back to back.

Speed and volume

Each piece has its own speed, from 0.5x to 2x, its own volume and a mute button, so a loud clip and a quiet one end up balanced.

Images as cards

Add a photo, a logo or a title card and choose how many seconds it stays on screen, from 1 to 30. Good for intros, outros and slideshows.

One video or a ZIP

Export everything as a single 1080p video with optional fades between pieces, or every piece as its own file inside a ZIP.

Private by design

No upload, no sign-up and no watermark. The files stay in your browser and the result goes straight to your downloads.

A small video editor that opens instantly

For the edits that do not need CapCut or Premiere: cut the boring start of a recording, join three clips with a title card in between, speed up a slow part or mute a noisy one. Drop the files, edit on a timeline and download the result.

What people use it for

Highlight reels from stream clips, joining phone videos into one, cutting a screen recording before sending it, adding an intro image or an outro, making a slideshow of photos, or splitting one long clip into several short ones for social media.

Nothing is uploaded

The videos never leave your device. There is no account, no project stored on a server and no watermark on the result. Close the tab and the edit is gone from everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free, with no watermark?+

Yes. There is no paid tier, no account and nothing stamped on your video. The page is paid for by the ads around the tool, never by marking your result.

Are my videos uploaded anywhere?+

No. The files are opened by your own browser and the export is recorded on your machine. There is no server that receives them, so nothing can be kept, viewed or leaked.

Which formats can I add?+

Any video your browser can play, which in practice means MP4 (H.264), WebM and, in most browsers, MOV. Images can be PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or AVIF. If a file cannot be read, the editor tells you which one.

What format does the export come out in?+

MP4 in Chrome, Edge and Safari, and WebM in browsers that cannot record MP4, such as Firefox. The picture is 1920×1080; videos with another shape are fitted inside with black bars instead of being cropped.

How long does exporting take?+

Usually less than the video lasts: each frame is decoded, drawn and encoded by your own browser with WebCodecs, without waiting for it to play. A one-minute edit typically takes 20 to 40 seconds. Pieces at a speed other than 1x are still recorded in real time, so the voice keeps its pitch. Keep the tab open until it finishes.

How do I cut a part out of the middle?+

Move the playhead to where the unwanted part starts and press Split (or S), move to where it ends and split again, then select the piece in between and remove it.

Can I use it on a phone?+

Yes, the editor adapts to small screens. Recording the export needs a recent browser and some memory, so long edits are more comfortable on a computer.

Does it keep my edit if I close the editor?+

While the tab stays open, yes: close the editor and open it again and every trim is still there. Reloading or closing the tab clears it, because nothing is saved anywhere else.

Can I send clips here from TwitchBolt or KickBolt?+

Yes. Once your clips are loaded in TwitchBolt or KickBolt, the Open in Clip Editor button passes them over directly, with no download and re-upload in between.

A browser video editor for quick, private edits

Clip Editor is the editor built into TwitchBolt and KickBolt, opened up for any file. Drop several videos and images at once and they land on the timeline in that order. From there each piece can be trimmed with handles on a strip of thumbnails, split at the playhead, duplicated, moved earlier or later, sped up or slowed down, made quieter or muted. Play everything to check the result before exporting.

The export uses the browser itself: each frame is decoded with WebCodecs, drawn at 1080p and encoded to H.264, and the sound is mixed and encoded alongside. That is why it costs nothing and why your files never travel, and also why it is not meant for multi-track projects, colour grading or 4K masters. For those, a desktop editor is still the right tool. For the everyday cut, join and send, this is quicker.
