Frequently Asked Questions
Is my data sent to any server?+
Browsing Kick requires talking to Kick. Your searches are relayed by this site to Kick's public API so the browser is allowed to read the answer. Nothing is stored about you: no account, no profile, no history of what you looked at. Your starred list is a different matter, and it never leaves your browser.
Where is my starred list kept?+
In this browser, under the key klipy-saved-v1. It survives reloads and comes back when you return, but it is tied to this browser on this device. It is not synced anywhere, and clearing your site data deletes it.
Can I download the clips?+
Not here. Klipy is for finding things; the downloading is KickBolt's job. Star everything you want and press the KickBolt button to hand the whole list over at once, or export it as a text file of links.
Why are some categories empty?+
The clips and live channels come from Kick as they are right now. A quiet category genuinely has nobody streaming and few recent clips, and Kick occasionally rate-limits requests, in which case waiting a few seconds and searching again usually works.
